Hi,
I am new to Oahua and am looking to make friends while my kids are at school. Would love to come to your coffee hour and meet some of the members. Please let me know where and when the next one is. |

My name is Mike Smola and I am the Volunteer Coordinator at the Mission Houses Museum. We are a National Historic Landmark in the heart of downtown Honolulu. We are looking for volunteers in the senior/retired age range (say 55 and above) to become docents, educational program staff, office staff, Greeting Desk staff, and to staff our special events. Would it be possible to come in as a speaker at one of your luncheons? I look forward to hearing from you.

| I've lived on Oahu for 8 years now so I don't consider myself a newcomer anymore but I write a blog that I think would be helpful to newcomers. It is specifically targeted to families with children, but it has information on the island that would help all newcomers as they get acquainted with their new island home. |

| I've got two very engaging guest speakers that may be great for one of your upcoming member luncheon events. They are Joan Robinson-Whitaker and Jean Wall, who own the local company Designer for a Day (DFD). This talented team provides a service that redesigns rooms or homes in a matter of hours, at an affordable price. Jean and Joan have worked with many "newcomers" to Hawaii and could talk about their experience with this group, sharing funny and interesting stories. |

We've moved to Honolulu from Kona and looking to meet people besides our family and some friends we already have. We moved to Kona permanently 4 1/2 years ago after being away from Hawaii for 30+ years. Can we come to a get together? Mahalo.
